Good Restaurants in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Not listed in any particular order, here are some yummy places to grab a bite in Colorado Springs. None of these places are too expensive or overly fancy, I’d say about mid-range in price. Due to covid 19, all offer take out services.
Right in the heart of Old Colorado City, Jives Coffee Lounge is a spacious yet cozy coffee shop offering kind customer service and a variety of drinks. I purchased an iced latte, which I rarely ever get, and it hit the spot on the hot day.
For some good bar food, come here. We had apple ciders made from a local brewery just down the road, a big soft pretzel with cheese sauce, and an avocado chicken sandwich. Good service, not too pricey, and a very open seating area.
This is a small Mexican restaurant set in a residential area just outside of Old Colorado City. It definitely took us a little while to be seated at a table and to receive our food, but it was delicious. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and supposedly they freshly prepare all of the ingredients (hash browns, potatoes, cut up vegetables, etc.). The outdoor seating is a small patio elevated from the road, tastefully decorated with plants.
We visited the Hillside location Switchback and it was such a cute place. I wish we would have had more time to hang around. There is plenty of parking, high ceilings, large picture windows, outdoor seating, and an abundance of hanging plants.
For your comfort American food needs, The Mason Jar will hit the spot. They serve delicious warm rolls with all meals, and yes, all of the drinks are served in mason jars. I had a tasty buffalo chicken salad. The restaurant reminded me of a Cracker Barrel restaurant, just with different offerings.
